The evening’s speaker will be Satch Carlson, Editor and Columnist for BMW Roundel Magazine. Satch will spend the night regaling us with diverse and entertaining stories of his
life as a driving enthusiast and BMW editor. Satch became the editor of Roundel magazine in 1998 after being a columnist since 1990. He’s originally from Reno NV, and spent quite a number of years in Anchorage AK, where he was very involved in road-rally events across the Arctic, while also contributing to AutoWeek as a reporter and columnist. After a stint in Portland OR, he kept working his way back down the Pacific Coast. He now lives in the San Diego area with “Party A” (his wife Kelly Kirkland) in what he terms Mondo Condo. It may be a condo, but it has room for his beloved Z4M roadster (license plate WOADSTR) and an I8 nicknamed Nancy Drew, plus Kelly’s BMW (license plate TWUBBLE). As Satch says, they sound like the illegitimate offspring of Elmer Fudd…
We’ll top off the evening with fantastic door prizes and great conversation with fellow BMW enthusiasts from across the state. We look forward to seeing all of you at dinner!
