January Tech Session – Time to Tone Up that Body! – Jan. 17, 2015

Do your 2015 New Year’s resolutions include a perennial goal of fixing up that body a little? Well, we have just the way to make a start on that! Our January event is a tech session at the Lithia Body & Paint shop, 9943 Hickman Rd., Urbandale, IA 50322. (Take the narrow lane north from the Hickman frontage road, between Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines and the soon-to-be new quarters of BMW of Des Moines). We’ll start at 10:30 on Saturday January 17 and go for 60-90 minutes of tour and talk, followed by an informal lunch wherever the group wants to head next.

European Motorcars of Des Moines will give us the full Monty on their new facility for doing body work on your BMW. As a bonus, Lithia’s recently-hired specialist in vintage car restoration will also be on hand. He’s done quite a bit of training in Germany, and will have some valuable information for those of you working on older models. Depending on time available, there may also be a presentation about paintless dent repair (PDR).
