Tire Rack Street Survival® school at the DMACC Ankeny Campus at 8:30 am – April 30

Our chapter, jointly with the Des Moines Valley Region of the SCCA, will be putting on a Tire Rack Street Survival® school at the Des Moines Area Community College Ankeny Campus on Sunday, April 30th.  Our thanks go out to BMW of Des Moines as the primary local sponsor for this event.

Additionally, McGill Junge Wealth Management, located in Clive has made a multi-year sponsorship commitment to our program.  Our thanks go out to Sara Flynn and the rest of the McGill Junge team for their support!

Should you not be familiar with the program, the Tire Rack Street Survival® teen safe driving program is open to drivers ages 15-21 and is presented by the SCCA Foundation and BMW CCA Foundation charitable organizations. The Tire Rack Street Survival® school is designed to go beyond today’s required driver’s education minimums and give teens across the U.S. the tools and hands-on experience to become safer, smarter drivers.  Schools are designed to give each student trained, qualified in-car driving instruction as well as classroom experience.

For more information or to register visit www.streetsurvival.org or contact Tara Box-Walker at StreetSurvival@dmvrscca.org for more information.  Space is limited.  Registration deadline is April 28.

Volunteering at these events is highly rewarding—you get to see the students become more and more enthusiastic about the experience throughout the day.  If you are interested in volunteering, please use motorsportreg.com to register for the event at Student Registration Link.
